Jumi Cheese was founded by 2 friends, Mike and Jorg, in the Emmental Valley in 2006, to honor and promote the traditions and innovations of Mike's 5th generation cheesemaking family. They twist tradition in their own younger ways and make truly unique Swiss cheeses. Mike and Jorg are huge supporters of raw milk cheese and only work with raw milk that has never been manipulated. They buy their milk from local farms of anywhere between 5 to 40 cows and purchase the entire years production, insuring the farmers have a fair price for their milk year round. Jumi cheeses are where innovation and tradition meet.
