In 1954, Saverio Guglielmi started tending to 160 hectares of Coratina, Peranzana, and Ogliarola olives in Puglia, Italy. Protecting the land and producing these exceptional olive oils has always gone hand in hand for the Guglielmi family. Today Olio Guglielmi is still a family owned company, headed by brother and sister Saverio and Francescoriana Guglielmi. Though they are proud to be a part of the Slow Food Presidio, they have embraced several new technologies that have made these traditional products truly shine. Their oils are stored in stainless steel silos under nitrogen. This technology protects the oil from oxygen contamination and preserves its organoleptic characteristics. Each bottle of extra virgin olive oil is also filled to order, ensuring the absolute freshest possible product.
