Couple Tyler and Melanie Webb run this certified organic beef and dairy farm in Fairfield, Vermont. Their cows are rotationally grazed on nutrient-rich, certified organic pasture, and much of the organic milk they produce is sold to Organic Valley. But in 2019 they began making small batches of their own cheese. Tyler has the agricultural background and manages the farm, and Melanie is the cheesemaker. Their cheeses are all named after birds that make their home in the lush working grassland at Stony Pond Farm. Swallow Tail and Tom Tom are both available as part of our Vermont preorder. Yes, preordering takes more planning than relying on stock, but small family producers like this one are absolutely worth the extra effort.
