Founded in 1982 in Ann Arbor, MI by Ari Weinzweig and Paul Saginaw, their original deli business has grown into many businesses: The Zingerman's Community Of Businesses. Until 2025 this community included Zingerman's Creamery, which started production in 2001 and produced an impressive line of cow and goat milk cheeses that garnered many awards and accolades throughout the years. Now being run as its own entity under the name Sanilac Creamery, Sanilac produces the entire "Zingerman's Creamery" line, keeping the name, the staff, and all the recipes intact. Just like Zingerman's, they make everything in small batches with the best local milk from small farmers. We offer their catalog of cheeses by special order. We also stock some of the Zingerman’s tinned fish, including some of their vintage sardines.
